About The Opportunity
JDL Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading European data centre delivery specialist as they look to expand their team with a Mechanical Commissioning Manager in Sines, Portugal.
This is a permanent, full-time position based on site in Sines. The role offers a competitive salary package and the opportunity to lead mechanical commissioning on one of Europe's largest active data centre programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the commissioning of mechanical systems from Level 1 pre-functional checks through to integrated systems testing
- Develop and manage the mechanical commissioning programme in coordination with the wider commissioning team
- Oversee mechanical commissioning activities, ensuring all systems are tested, verified, and documented to specification
- Coordinate mechanical commissioning with electrical, controls, and BMS teams to enable integrated testing milestones
- Chair commissioning meetings, manage the issues log, and drive outstanding items through to close-out
- Manage commissioning documentation, ensuring records are accurately maintained and uploaded to the commissioning portal
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years' experience in mechanical commissioning on large-scale construction or data centre projects
- Proven experience leading mechanical commissioning through to Level 5 integrated systems testing
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, cooling, and associated mechanical systems
- Experience coordinating commissioning activities across multiple disciplines
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Data centre or mission-critical commissioning experience is preferred
