About The Opportunity
JDL Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a data centre developer delivering a large-scale, mission-critical development in Iceland as they look to expand their team with a Prject Director/ Senior Project Manager.
This is a permanent, site-based position in Iceland, leading delivery of the development through to handover. The role offers a competitive salary and package commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project delivery from design development through construction, commissioning and handover, against programme, budget and quality targets.
- Manage the project team and key contractor interfaces across civil, MEP and specialist systems packages.
- Own the master programme, monitoring progress and driving mitigation for schedule risks.
- Chair project reviews and stakeholder meetings, ensuring clear reporting and timely decision-making.
- Coordinate with commercial, procurement and legal teams on contract compliance, variations and risk.
- Ensure commissioning, energisation and handover milestones are met to the client's operational requirements.
Requirements:
- Significant experience delivering large-scale, mission-critical or data centre construction projects, ideally under FIDIC-based contracts.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of MEP-intensive construction, commissioning dependencies and phased handover on complex builds.
- Proven ability to manage multiple contractors and complex interfaces in a fast-paced, high-value environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management, reporting and negotiation skills.
- Professional certification such as PMP, MRICS, MCIOB or equivalent is desirable.
