JDL Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with an international data centre operator, expanding its portfolio into France, as they look to appoint a Project Director.
This is a permanent position overseeing project delivery across multiple sites in France, reporting into the senior project management leadership team. The role offers a competitive package commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data centre projects across multiple sites in France, from mobilisation through construction, commissioning and handover.
- Oversee project and construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, schedule and cost targets are met.
- Manage contractor, vendor and consultant performance, including technical evaluations and resolution of RFIs and submittals.
- Lead commissioning and structured handover to operations, including documentation and readiness sign-off.
- Ensure compliance with client governance, contractual obligations and local regulatory requirements.
- Manage project budgets, variations and financial reporting in coordination with commercial teams.
Requirements:
- 10 or more years' experience in data centre project management and implementation, including at least 7 years in a director-level role.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex, mission-critical data centre projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, network and security systems.
- Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier standards and international compliance requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder, contractor and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluent English; willingness to travel across sites in France and the wider region.
