About The Opportunity
JDL Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading hyperscale AI infrastructure provider as they look to expand their team with a Project Director in Finland.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Finland. The role offers a highly competitive salary package commensurate with experience, with the opportunity to shape and deliver one of the most exciting hyperscale data centre projects in the Nordics.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a hyperscale data centre campus in Finland, from mobilisation through to commissioning and client handover
- Manage the EPC contractor and specialist subcontractors, ensuring programme, budget and quality targets are achieved
- Coordinate closely with the client's design, engineering and procurement teams to ensure design intent is realised on site
- Oversee all IST, commissioning and handover activities, ensuring a smooth transition to operations
- Maintain and manage risk registers, change control and monthly reporting to senior stakeholders
- Drive health, safety and environmental performance across the project
- Interface with local authorities, grid operators and permitting bodies in Finland
- Build and lead a high-performing on-site project delivery team
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager delivering large-scale data centre or mission-critical facility projects
- Track record of managing projects in excess of €200m from inception through to handover
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, civil and structural works, and commissioning processes within data centre environments
- Experience managing Tier 1 contractors and complex, multi-disciplinary supply chains
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at executive level
- Willingness to relocate to or spend significant time in Finland
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Fluent in English; Finnish language skills are advantageous but not essential
