About The Opportunity
JDL Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading European data centre developer as they look to expand their team with a Project Lead in Amsterdam.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Amsterdam. The role offers a competitive salary package and the opportunity to take a lead role on a flagship data centre development in one of Europe's most active markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a new data centre development in Amsterdam from design stage through to practical completion
- Manage the main contractor and specialist subcontractors, ensuring all milestones are achieved on programme and within budget
- Coordinate design reviews and technical queries with the wider development team and external consultants
- Oversee site progress, quality inspections and ITP processes throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage project reporting, risk registers and change control procedures
- Liaise with local authorities, utility companies and network operators in the Netherlands
- Support commissioning, IST and customer handover activities
- Lead and develop an on-site project team of engineers, site managers and coordinators
Requirements
- Proven experience in data centre or mission-critical project delivery in a lead or senior management role
- Strong understanding of MEP, civil and structural works within data centre environments
- Experience working with major contractors and managing multi-disciplinary project teams
- Knowledge of the Netherlands regulatory and permitting environment is advantageous
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are beneficial but not essential
