About The Opportunity
JDL Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a European, AI-native GPU colocation business as they look to expand their team with a Head of Commercial, remote based.
This is a permanent, full-time position, remote based with regular travel across Europe, as the business's founding commercial hire. The role offers a base salary dependent on experience, a bonus tied to signed capacity (MW) and contract value, and stock options.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a pipeline of neo-cloud, AI-lab and GPU-cloud customers across European capacity.
- Own the full deal cycle, from qualification and technical solutioning through to commercial structuring, negotiation and signature.
- Structure and negotiate multi-MW colocation agreements, covering pricing, term, SLAs and ramp schedules.
- Act as the trusted commercial point of contact for customer infrastructure, procurement and founder-level stakeholders.
- Feed market intelligence back into site selection and capacity planning.
- Represent the business at industry level and lay the groundwork for the wider commercial function.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of personally closing multi-MW wholesale or hyperscale colocation deals, or comparable large capacity agreements, through to signature.
- Live relationships with buyers in the neo-cloud, GPU-cloud, AI-lab or hyperscaler infrastructure space.
- Fluency in the technical and commercial language of data centre capacity, including power, cooling, density, PUE, SLAs and ramp.
- Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor in a lean, early-stage environment, building pipeline directly.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Europe.
- Experience at a Nordic or AI-native operator, or an existing network into frontier AI labs' infrastructure teams, is an advantage.
