About The Opportunity
JDL Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading international data centre contractor on their search for an experienced MEP Lead to join their team in Milan, Italy.
This is a key delivery role working on a brand new hyperscale data centre project for a major technology client. The MEP Lead will take full ownership of the mechanical and electrical scope on site, coordinating across specialist subcontractors and working closely with the project manager, client and design teams to ensure the M&E programme is delivered on time and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full MEP scope across a hyperscale data centre construction project
- Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors, ensuring programme adherence and quality compliance
- Interface directly with the client, design consultants and commissioning teams throughout delivery
- Oversee the MEP commissioning process through to systems integration and handover
- Identify and manage risks within the MEP programme, escalating where required
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with specification, safety requirements and local regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MEP Lead or Senior MEP Engineer within data centre or mission-critical construction
- Strong background coordinating M&E subcontractors on large-scale, complex projects
- Solid understanding of commissioning processes and MEP systems integration
- Experience working for a main contractor or specialist MEP contractor
- Willingness to be based in Milan, Italy on a project basis
Package
- €120,000 to €140,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
